Eugene Bennett attended the University of Oregon to study music until he joined the Navy in 1943. In 1947 he was accepted at the Art Institute of Chicago. His work has been shown at the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Art and the Schneider Museum of Art. He was a founding member of the Rogue Valley Art Association in Oregon and, since 1962 he has lived and worked in his studio known as the Eagle Brewery Saloon.
