"I grew up in Southern Illinois and attended the University of Wisconsin majoring in French and education and minored in Latin, Spanish, anthropology and education. I began drawing in the early 70's during my time as a forest lookout in Arizona and I started painting under the tutelage of Barbara 'Bobbie' Allie in San Jose, CA. She encouraged me to study art in earnest and I began by enrolling in San Jose City College art department where I took several courses including two life drawing classes. On the strength of that work I was accepted into the San Jose State masters program. Since that time I've completed drawings and oils in a variety of styles and have sold many pieces which are now in private collections. I have exhibited at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara and my piece was juried into the World Without War competition which traveled the world. I've had two one man shows. Photography is another of my passions."
